Details

This tiny tool can save your life. Or the life of someone you've sworn to protect.

A versatile little life-saver. resqueme was designed to be used by public safety officers, on duty and off. In fact, this inexpensive, lightweight keychain-size tool delivers performance comparable to many full-size extrication tools. With its integrated, stainless steel window punch and razor sharp cutter blade, the resqueme can quickly break out windows and slice through seat belts—allowing you, or someone you care about, to escape from an overturned, submerged, or otherwise disabled vehicle.

  • Cuts seat belts in seconds
  • Breaks side windows in a snap
  • Small, ultra-light, easy to carry almost anywhere
  • Easy to use by first responders or civilians alike
  • Made in U.S.A.
Specs:
  • Length: 2-3/8" (3" with clip)
  • Width: 1-1/2"
  • Thickness: 1/2"
  • Weight: 0.6 oz
  • Materials
    • ABS plastic
    • Stainless steel
    • Hardened chrome plated steel
    • Nylon

For personal safety. resqueme can be attached to your car keys or any place in your vehicle that’s visible and easy to reach in an emergency. It can be removed from its attachment point simply by pulling the tool away from the clip.

There’s no need to take the keys out of the ignition or unthread the device from a key ring. Just pull. And because pulling the device away from the clip also exposes the seat belt cutter, the resqueme is instantly ready for use.

For first responders…or the first person you think of. Heavy “rescue” knives, multi-tools, and specialized extrication tool kits may work, but at less than 3” long, ½” thick, and only 0.6 oz., the tough little resqueme can literally beat larger, more cumbersome tools to the punch.

Firefighters and first responders of all kinds get it—this exceptional tool does the job. And it can be carried just about anywhere. No wonder the resqueme™ has quickly become a must-have personal tool for police officers, SWAT teams, paramedics and firefighters all around the world.

Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs — Where can you carry resqueme?

Note:This tool will NOT break windshields or other windows made of LAMINATED glass. Some vehicles have laminated side windows. On these vehicles the resqueme will still function on the rear window.

RES-Q-ME Personal rescue tool.

by

My fire dept had an extrication class a week after I received my RES-Q-ME tool. I used it to break several side windows, windshields, and to cut seat belts. It worked just like it was supposed to every time. Highly recommended. Perfect tool for EMS, firefighter, and police officer.

Must be a defective tool!

by

Never owned this model or type of window punch or seatbelt cutter but have used it once in a training and loved it! It's great do to it's small compact design and features it has. But not so well constructed i think it should be built in a metal housing for better reinforcement. I punched out one window with it and now the spring wont reload and break glass. i love it i hope so return for a new one!

Good tool to have in your bunker coat.

by

It hangs on my bunker coat ready to go.

Every driver should have one

by

Every driver should carry one, you never know about the others on the road.

Compact and light

by

I hope to never have to use this little device, but being prepared in the event is what matters.

Q&A's:

"can this product be used to shatter glass after a vehicle is submerged?"

It should, a lot will depend on how far you are submerged pressure will be working against you from the outside, this was designed to be a self rescue tool, cut your seat belt and break out your windows

"what is the difference in this one and the one for $10.49?"

Sherry, I don't see a $10.49 one listed in our system, there are some that have our logo on them and they sell for $9.99, and come in different colors, and to answer your question, other than the color and our logo they are the same.

"Is there a reduced price for bulk orders? I need about 20 of them."

Yes, we offer bulk pricing. Here's a link with details. http://www.thefirestore.com/store/bulkpricing.aspx

"is it spring loaded?"

Jill, yes it has a spring in it, you just press it against the side window and with a little force it will shatter the window. You will be able to hear it click. Here's a helpful hint, keep this on your car key ring, that way you will have with you when your driving, it just might save your life or someone else's!

"what is the yellow part made of, metal or plastic? can these have our company logo put on these by you?"

Don, this is made of a poly, mold injection, and we do not add any logos, we think that TFT might be willing to add a logo, but that will depend on how many you are purchasing,

"How do you reload the spring once the glass shatter bolt is once used?"

Never heard of ""reloading"" before, this is spring loaded, and it is ready to be used again and again after each use, it has a spring in it, you just press it against the side window and with a little force it will shatter the window. You will be able to hear it click, and it's ready to go again.

"What would the shipping fee be on one of these resqueme items? I am at ZIP code 04401."

The shipping would be $6.99 for one standard ground.

"Could this be used for any type of window? For instance, I have it on my key ring and I'm in a restaurant, a fire starts or for some reason we need to immediately get out of the restaurant. Could this be used to break a window if a door exit is not near by?"

This tool was made to be used on the laminated windows in a vehicle, thus the seat belt cutter that's built into it.

"Is it reusable?"

Hi Connie, yes this tool is reusable, I have one I keep on my key ring for the car, it's there if I need would need it in a emergency. I gave all my kids (6) one also, and showed them how to use it, for the car windows, and the seat belts.
